A Moment to Yourself

Hi. I’m Alexa Hanshaw and today I’m going to be talking you through a mindfulness moment.

We are going to be talking about a little breathwork technique where we take a few moments to breathe deeply.

 

So let’s go ahead.

 

Sit up nice and tall to find a comfortable seat and go ahead and close your eyes. We’ll take a few moments here to just find your breath. Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.

 

Now begin to deepen our breath together here. Inhale through your nose, starting at the base of your belly, moving up through your rib cage. And all the way up into your chest. And then slowly exhale, release out your nose, letting your breath slowly fall from your chest. All the way down to your belly.

 

We’ll take one more breath just like that. Inhale through your nose, filling up your belly. All the way up through your torso, into your chest. And then slowly exhale. Release out your nose, down your chest, into your belly.

 

Taking a moment to let your breath come back to its natural rhythm. And then when you’re ready, you can gently blink your eyes open and you just found a mindfulness moment for yourself.
